Princeville is a planned resort community that's located on the north side of the island of Kauai. There are several vacation villa complexes and resort hotels here. When you need professional care for your pup, you'll find a veterinarian about ten miles to the east of town.
Go hiking along the Sleeping Giant Trail in Wailua with your special pal. The trailhead for this pawtastic hiking trail is located on Haileilio Road, about 25 miles southeast of Princeville. Walk through the forest as you climb the mountain ridge. Dogs on a leash can join you on your trek here. Bring water and waste bags with you for your visit.
Another great path to check out with your fur baby is Ke Ala Hale Makalae, located in Kauai. This paved multi-use trail is part of the national Rails-to-Trails Conservancy. Walk along the coast on this interpretive path with your four-footed companion. You'll be able to learn some of the island's history from plaques posted along the way. This hike also offers incredible coastal and ocean views. Leashed dogs are permitted here as long as you clean up after them. Remember to bring some water with you for you and your pal.
The resort town of Princeville provides access to a number of trails and beaches that allow you to bring dogs on a leash.
