Put-In-Bay is a pawsome village, and much-loved summer resort located on South Bass Island in Ohio. It is accessed by ferry that connects it with other islands, such as Catawba Island and Kelley’s Island. The Miller Boat Line and Jet Express are both dog friendly, and pups are welcome as long as they remain on leash. In case of emergencies, there are no veterinary services in Put-In-Bay. But, you will find a few veterinary clinics and animal hospitals on Catawba Island.

If you want to explore Put-In-Bay on the water, head to Kayak the Bay for some fun! You can take a kayak out and your pup is welcome to jump on board too. They will love to see the limestone cliffs and go on an adventure! It is recommended to bring a towel for your furry friend so they don’t slip and slide.

This takes you through the woodlands and along some picturesque scenery, as well as the oppawtunity to see some quarry ruins from the past. This neighorhood in nearby Lakeside Marblehead offers access to the East Harbor State Park, a puptastic place to head for the day that offers over 1,831 acres of land you can explore with your pooch. Here you can join one of the many sniff-tastic trails, with a level range of moderate to easy. Plus, there is plenty of wildlife to spot, including green frogs, turtle and geese. While pups aren’t allowed on the beach, there is an area reserved especially for dogs where you can take them to investigate. Since there is wildlife that live here, it is best to keep your furry friend on their leash when you visit East Harbor State Park.
