Bring water and doggie bags, and enjoy your leisurely stroll here. If you’re hungry after your walk in the park, head over to O’Toole’s Restaurant and Grill. If you’re looking for another place to go for a walk with your pup, head over to Hudson Pointe Nature Preserve. This 82-acre nature preserve welcomes dogs on-leash, and it has more two miles of marked trails you can explore. If you want to do a loop around the whole preserve, take the mile-long green trail. This trail goes along the Hudson River, providing stunning views the whole way through. If you’d rather do a shorter walk, try the .4-mile blue trail, which goes through the forest and passes by Clendon Brook. Your pup will have a great time sniffing all the trees and seeing all the sights in this preserve.
Looking for a spot where your pup can play off-leash? Head over to Lake George Dog Park, which is about six miles from Queensbury. Here, your dog can play in separate large and small dog areas. Both areas feature big grassy fields where your pup can frolic to their heart’s content. There's also a fun yellow tunnel for them to run through! If your dog gets thirsty, water fountains are available, but you'll need to bring your own doggie waste bags. Bring a tennis ball or a Frisbee, and enjoy spending the day in the park with your furry best friend.
Does your dog love splashing around in the water? Take them over to Lake George Dog Beach, which is just six miles from Queensbury. Here, your dog can swim and play in the beautiful Lake George and do a little digging in the sand. If your dog gets thirsty while they’re enjoying the beach, fresh drinking water is available.
