Colvin Woods

Located just 2.5 miles west of downtown Reston, this neighborhood is a pup-ular destination, and for good reason. Stop by this area to visit the friendly Chandon Dog Park. A favorite among locals, this park is fully fenced for safe off-leash play, and there are plenty of trees for shade. Relax on one of the provided benches while your pup plays and chases squirrels. Separate areas are available for large breeds and small breeds, and cleanup bags and trash cans are provided for your convenience. There are even wading pools and access to fresh drinking water.

Great Falls Town Center
Just six miles northeast of Reston lies the town of Great Falls, and it’s the perfect place to go when you and your dog want to get away from city life. Great Falls Park is a pup-tastic destination with several trails for you to explore. This 800-acre park offers breathtaking views of the Potomac River and is open daily from 7 a.m. until dark. Make note that there is a fee to visit Great Falls Park. Leashed dogs are always welcome on all park trails and falls overlooks, and in the picnic areas. They are not, however, allowed inside the visitor center.
