Located in San Joaquin County, Ripon is a small bedroom community that may not look like much, but actually offers some great amenities for you and your pup. North of Modesto, this town along the Stanislaus River is home to amazing parks, a great trail, and a few places to sit down and grab a bite to eat. There is one veterinarian in town that can take a look at Fido whenever you need.

Head out out to the Harvest Acres Park with your furry pal by your side. The park is huge and offers a basketball court, picnic tables, some shade, a playground, and grass for fetch. There is a great walking path around the park that you and your dog can use for a good walk before you head home for the day.

If you need your caffeine fix and Fido is craving something sweet, grab a seat at Starbucks and get yourself a nice cup of coffee, and of course, a puppiccino for your dog. Their outdoor patio welcomes your four legged friend to sit alongside you while you both enjoy your treat from them.

Check into the La Quinta Inn and Suites Manteca-Ripon if you and Fido need a place to rest for a night or two. They welcome your pup to stay the night with you for no additional fee, and you and your dog will be feeling refreshed and ready to go the next day.

With all the great amenities that Ripon has to offer, your dog will love exploring this beautiful town with you.

Get a great hike in with your furry pal on the Ripon-Stanislaus River Trail. The pawsome trail is 2.8-miles long with a small elevation gain of 236-feet, in an out and back route. This trail is prerfect for first time hikers and their dogs looking to dip their toe into a good hike without going too hard. The trail will take you and your leashed dog past the Caswell River where you both can splash around for a moment if it gets too hot. Most of the trail is covered by trees, giving you and Fido an ample amount of shade while you hike.
