Dog Areas in Robertsville, MO

1 Park
2 Trails

Robertsville is a tiny rural community. Folks with dogs don't have a long distance to travel for services and outdoor activity. One veterinary clinic in town takes care of the needs of most dogs, and many other veterinarians are located in nearby towns like Pacific, Washington, and southwest St. Louis County.

Need some adventure? Robertsville State Park has 1,225 acres of land dedicated to conservation and recreation! The state park is a popular access spot to the Meramec River.  Many anglers prize the Meramec for its numerous species of fish.  The State Park also has both basic and electric campsites, as well as two moderately difficult trails. Spice Brush Trail is a .8-mile loop trail through some hardwood forest and natural brush. Wildflowers grace the trail with their seasonal colors. Lost Hill Trail is 2.6 miles long with access to the camping sites. Dogs are welcome at Missouri State parks, including campgrounds, as long as they remain on a leash no longer than 10 feet.

More wilderness adventure can be found four miles away at Catawissa Conservation Area. There are no dedicated trails in this 99-acre preserve. Visitors here come to check out wildlife, hunt, fish and launch boats into the Meramec. Dogs must be on a leash here unless they are being used for hunting.
