Take Fido to the Scatter Creek Wildlife Recreation Area for a fun day out. The 531-acre park offers great wildlife viewing and hiking trails that you and your pup can explore together. There are restrooms at the park. Watch out for flooding on the trails when you hike. 


If Fido wants a little less activity, check out the Theodore Hoss Sports Complex. This beautiful park offers baseball diamonds, a soccer field, grass to play in, and a nice walking trail.

The park is open from dawn until dusk, and offers restrooms for dog parents. There are two main trails to hike, ranging from 7.6 to 8.6-miles long, and perfect for a nice afternoon walk. Your dog needs to stay leashed when you visit and cannot jump in the lake. Only thirteen miles out of Rochester in Olympia, your pup won't mind the small ride.

The Schaeffer County Park in Centralia is a fun park to let Fido explore with you by his side. This great park has hiking trails, a picnic area, fishing, plus other great amenities like an amphitheater, bird watching, and a volleyball field that you and your pup can enjoy together. Get a good walk in on the 2-mile hiking trail that will take you through a wooded area, great for exploring and sniffing. If your dog would rather relax, then enjoy the sheltered fire circles and horseshoe pits that the park offers. Make sure to bring clean-up bags with you when you visit.

Head into Centralia and check out Wagner Park with your furry pal. This lakeside park sits on Plummer Lake and offers a picnic area, fishing, benches for owners to relax on, and a playground. Take your dog along the lake for a good walk before heading out. If Fido would rather not be around the water, check out the Cedar Street Park. This cute park has a playground, baseball courts, picnic tables, and is fenced in for safety. There isn't a lot of grass to run around on, but there is a nice walking path around the park.
