Saw Mill Valley is a small housing development community in Horsham, Pennsylvania. The neighborhood consists mostly of condo-style residences and offers a very quiet and peaceful place to walk your pet. Nestled just south of Norristown and Horsham roads, Saw Mill Valley is within walking distance to many of Horsham's main retail and dining businesses.

As a small and quiet residential community, Saw Mill Valley is perfect if you want to step away from busy roads and take your pet on a walk set away from cars and pedestrians. As Horsham is just outside of Philadelphia, its climate is very similar. Summers are hot and humid while winters are chilly and snowy. Check the forecast before you go out for your walk to ensure optimal weather. During the summer, head out in the morning before it gets too hot, but wait until later in the day during the winter so that overnight ice has melted.

Saw Mill Valley was planned as a relaxing community, so you'll find plenty of areas for some quality time with your pup. While there are a lot of parking lots that you may have to try to avoid, there's also a good amount of grassy spots and pretty foliage throughout the neighborhood. The sidewalks will lead you under shady trees and past quiet condos to different grassy areas. The community values cleanliness and you'll find trash cans and complimentary poop bags in certain areas for your use.

This 12-acre area is mostly flat and is perfect for a walk with dogs of any age. You can easily make your walk as long or as short as you want while enjoying manicured lawns and pretty trees. Try to stick to the sidewalks and greenways though and avoid walking through the middle of roads and parking lots as much as you can.

While there aren't many designated parks in Saw Mill Valley, there is plenty of green space. Pets are welcome anywhere there is grass in the neighborhood as long as they're on a leash and cleaned up after. Unfortunately, benches are few and far between in this area, but that just encourages you to find a shady tree to relax under!

If you want to take your pet to a larger park, you can trek outside of the neighborhood. The southern entrance to Saw Mill Valley gives easy access to the Horsham Power Line Trail, a 5-mile paved trail that takes you to different parts of the town. There are even several benches along the route in case you need to rest for a moment. You can head north on the trail to Jarret Road Park, a sprawling public lawn, or make your way south to Lukens Park, a large park with a playground and walking trails.
