If you are looking to get in a good workout with your pup, this neighborhood has a great park for that. Tanner Park is not specifically a dog park, but it is a fun place to exercise with your pooch. There are several trails to hike in this park, and they are dirt and rock trails. You must have your pooch on the leash while walking, but there is a creek where owners can let their canine pals off-leash. Your pooch will love to make a splash in the water to cool off. Keep in mind that sometimes the current gets rough, though. There are a lot of waste stations along the way, but you will need to bring your own water. Trees provide shade. This hike is not recommended for beginners. Grab your tennis shoes and get in a good workout with your pup.

In this dog-friendly neighborhood, you will find a great place for you and your pup to cool off. Parley’s Nature Reserve is an on-leash park for dogs and their families. There are also several areas where your pooch will be allowed to run free and explore off-leash. There is a river that runs the length of this reserve. There are certain places along the dirt trail where your pooch can hop in the river and cool off. At the end of the trail, there is a watering hole where humans and dogs can swim and play. Make sure to bring along waste bags for clean-up. Grab a leash and some swimming attire for a fun-filled day!

If you want to bond with your pup, this is a great neighborhood. It is home to the Memory Grove Off Leash Area at Freedom Trail. This Salt Lake park has so much for your pup to enjoy. You both can enjoy the scenic view as you walk on the narrow trails, which help to keep your pal from wandering away, as there are no fences here. Your pup can make a splash in the creek, but the lake is off limits to canine friends. There are a lot of trees for shade, but remember to bring your own water and waste bags. Be aware that not a lot of parking is available. Come out and have a blast!

If you want to enjoy a day relaxing in nature, this is the neighborhood to visit. The Dimple Dell Nature Park has so much to see. It is located about 18 miles southeast of Salt Lake, UT and is fairly easy to find. All dogs must be on a leash, and there are several trails to hike and walk on. The trails are easy once you have descended down the ravine. There is a river that runs through here, but sometimes the current can be fast, so keep an eye on your pooch if he wants to go for a dip in the summer. There’s a lot of local wildlife to see, and your canine friend will have a blast exploring and sniffing all of the scents. Just remember to bring some water and doggy waste bags.
