The park has three areas; the large dog (over 20 lbs.) area; the little dog (20 lbs. and under) area; and a separate playing and training course. The park also has benches, dog water fountains, and waste bags. Faklis Park boasts over 16 acres on Cosumnes Drive, has separate areas for both small and large dogs and plenty of shade and water. Paul E. Weston Park, at the corner of EWS Woods Boulevard and Ishi Goto Street, with more than 22 acres, has everything you need for you and your pets to have fun as well as some areas for BBQ pits and relaxation.

Northwest Stockton is not only home to rivers, parks and the local country club but also to an adorable dog park called BarkleyVille Dog Park. The name is not the only cute thing about this park. The park has not only two sections for dogs, but three, all depending on dog weight. It also has doggie poop bags available at all times as well as water fountains for pet owners and their pets. In addition, the park has an obstacle course that every dog is free to use! It's great for overactive dogs and a fun experience for more shy dogs.

The area Quail Lakes is exactly what it sounds like -- a lush green area full of beautiful bodies of water. One of the best parks in the city of Stockton is located here, called Atherton Park. Although this park is not a dog park, it is very dog-friendly. The park has large open spaces for dogs to run and play as well as shaded areas for people to sit and relax. Furthermore, there is a colorful playground and many sports fields. Since this is not a dog park, you may want to try going to the park as early as possible to avoid the rush.

The up-and-coming neighborhood of Brookside is home to one of the best parks in the area, Nelson Park. This park has multiple fields and sports facilities. It also has a number of bathrooms. Since this is not just a dog park, you may want to bring a leash. It is often rented out for private events which may be overwhelming for your dog. For a pawmazing time, head to the park in the morning with a good book and some snacks. You are unlikely to run into anyone else and you can take your pick of benches. In the heart of Stockton you will find one of the most interesting places you have ever seen to walk your dog. The San Joaquin Delta is located in the heart of the city. This body of water is beautiful and creates a sense of calm among visitors. Many Stockton pet owners are seen walking their dogs along the Delta. What makes this a special place to go is that you are likely to see other animals such as otters and birds. However, since it is not really a park, make sure you take a leash and your own water! You won’t find any restrooms or water fountains here but the views are worth it!

American Legion Park is a secluded, serene park with multiple areas for visitors. Although it is not primarily a dog park, it is very dog-friendly and provides dog owners with doggie poop bags. The park even has a natural canal running through it where some pet owners sit and fish with their less active dogs. Just make sure you take a leash in case the park gets crowded, which it definitely can some weekends!
