Studio City is a neighborhood of the city of Los Angeles, and is just a hill away from the famous Hollywood neighborhood. Named after a studio lot that was established here by film producer Mack Sennett in 1927, this neighborhood obviously loves their dogs, as there are 20 different veterinarians here that are ready to keep your pup healthy and happy.

If your furry friend is a foodie and loves grabbing a bite to eat with you, then Studio City is a great place to be. With over thirty dogtastic restaurants that are dog-friendly, Fido won’t know where he wants to stop in and get a good meal. The Laurel Canyon Off Leash Dog Park is a great spot to let Fido run around off leash and meet some new friends. The park features two separate areas for small and large dogs, allowing every dog to be comfortable as they play. The dog park also offer benches for owners to relax on, plus a shaded section to sit under if it gets too hot. There are even pooper scoopers on site in case you forget bags! With tons of room to run around, and tennis balls that are often left behind for other dogs to play with, this park is sure to be a hit with your pup! Be aware that the park has more sand than grass, so your dog may leave a little dirty.

If your dog loves going hiking, then take him to Wilacre Park. Since the park is a public one, your dog needs to stay on leash. Here, you both can enjoy a nice hike through the park with beautiful views of Studio City. If you’re looking for a longer hike, then check out the Fryman Canyon Loop Trail which is 3-miles long. The loop will take you onto the Betty B. Dearing Trail, which passes through Walacre Park and Coldwater Canyon Park, making an it possible to just keep walking till that pup is tired out! Make sure to bring plenty of water for Fido and some clean-up bags.

Studio City is filled with a plethora of dog-friendly eateries that you and your pup can grab a bite to eat together. Check out local favorites like Jinky’s Studio City Café, which serves tasty American food, or Crust that offers big salads, desserts, and specialty pizzas. If these two don’t fit your fancy, don’t worry, as there are plenty more to choose from, such as Teru Sushi, Mexicali Cocina Cantina, and Sinopoli’s Real Italian. These restaurants are all dog-friendly and welcome your dog with open arms and a fresh bowl of water, and are all located near each other on Ventura Boulevard.

Six miles out of Studio City is the Wonder View Trail in the large neighborhood of Hollywood. This pawsome trail is great to take your dog on for exploring and a great day of exercising. The trail is 3-miles long, and although it is relatively short, it does have a climb of 925 feet. The hike will take you up to the Cahuenga Peak and Mount Lee, plus give you an amazing view of the famous Hollywood sign, so make sure you snap a photo with your dog. Bring plenty of water with you on this hike since there isn’t a lot of shade, and don’t forget clean-up bags.

If your pup is up for a short drive, then head over to Runyon Canyon Park in the large Hollywood Hills neighborhood. Your furry pal will love this 160-acre park that is right near the Hollywood sign. Runyon Canyon Park has a 90-acre off leash dog park that your dog will love to explore, plus there are a ton of hiking trails throughout it. The park is one of the highest elevated parks in the city, and offers amazing views of Los Angeles from the top. There are also benches to cool down on here, and some doggie water fountains, but locals suggest bringing your own water since the fountains are few and far between.
