Dog Areas in Tega Cay

Tega Cay, South Carolina is a small city located not too far away from both Rock Hill and Fort Mill, South Carolina, but it’s also not too far away from the city of Charlotte, North Carolina. With its big city amenities and small-town charm combined, Tega Cay proves to be a popular spot for those looking for a “staycation.” While Tega Cay does have a veterinarian practice and plenty of roads lined with sidewalks for you and your dog to enjoy going for a walk, there isn’t much for you and Fido to do together within the city.

The nearby cities of Charlotte and Rock Hill offer more for you to do with your pooch, including several dog-friendly restaurants and a few dog parks here and there. Both cities are located within twenty minutes of Tega Cay, so having fun with your dog is only a hop, skip, and a jump away no matter which location you choose!

Downtown Fort Mill, located around fifteen minutes from Tega Cay, is home to Hobo’s, a local favorite. This restaurant serves up made-to-order burgers alongside mouthwatering craft beer and handspun milkshakes. Your dog can join you while you eat, as long as you’re at a table on the restaurant’s spacious patio. Hobo’s will give your pooch some water. Can you resist the temptation to give your canine companion “just a bite”? A leash is required, as is good behavior. This restaurant is usually pretty busy, so if your dog doesn’t like being around people, this might not be the place for him.
