Sunset Hills
Sunset Hills is just four miles east of Valley Park, and is home to Kitun Dog Park. This park features an acre that is fully fenced for off-leash freedom. The large grassy area also includes a separate space for small dogs. Both humans and dogs get their own water fountains at this park! Benches give the human companions a shaded place from which to supervise their dogs as they play. A few pieces of agility equipment make for added exercise in the large dog section of the dog park. This dog park is for members only, so you'll need to obtain a pass before visiting. There is a reduced fee for Crestwood and Sunset Hills residents.

Arnold City Limits
You'll find the city of Arnold just 12 miles south of Valley Park. Arnold has not one, but two paw parks. One is located in the City Park, and the other is located at the Ferd B. Lang Park. The paw parks both offer an acre that is fully fenced, a smaller separate area for small dogs, drinking water, and doggie waste bags. All you need to bring is Fido's favorite toy! You'll find benches situated in the shade for the human companions. These paw parks are free and open to the public from sunrise until sunset.

Looking for a park with a little more breathing space? Head to Creve Coeur, just 8 miles north. The Creve Coeur Dog Park at Conway Park has 2.5 acres of fully fenced grass for dogs to run and play off-leash. There is a half-acre area set aside for the small dogs. Water is available on-site, and doggie waste bags are also provided for those necessary cleanups. The main park includes a hiking trail that encircles a lake. This is a popular walking path for people and their leashed dogs. You'll need a code to enter this park; registration and annual memberships can be obtained from the city.

Still not enough room to run? Take the quick drive to Ballwin, 13 miles north of Valley Park. Tails & Trails at Queeny Park is a five-acre fenced dog park for off-leash exercise and socialization. You'll find plenty more benches scattered throughout the park. Pack a towel, because dogs are welcome to swim in the creek and lake here!
