Not long after it was first settled, Valley Stream, New York became a thriving agricultural community. The beautiful land was just perfect for farming and raising cattle. Soon, the farmers built up the little community and opened a general store. Mills came next. Then the stagecoaches. Can you imagine riding across the beautiful countryside and seeing New York City being built right before your eyes?
The majesty of Valley Stream's countryside is still alive today. The only real difference is that now you can see modern sights from your car window instead of waiting for a stagecoach. Or, you can catch a bus from Valley Stream to NYC, so you're never far from the amenities the Big Apple has to offer.
While you are here, you will want to take your whole family -- furry members included, of course! -- over to Valley Stream State Park. Valley Stream is only 25 miles away from the Big Apple, which has so many places to enjoy with Fido that you won't know where to go first! If it's off-leash fun you're after, head to Stuyvesant Square Dog Park. This is the go-to place for your dog to come and socialize with other dogs. This is a very quiet and well-maintained dog park located in the scenic Stuyvesant Square Park. Right across from the dog park is a trail that allows you to walk your dog off-leash! You will need to bring your own water and doggie bags, as they are not provided. The whole area is heavily shaded with plenty of places for sit and enjoy the day.
My name is Gabriella and I would love to have the pleasure of meeting your little furry friend! I have had much experience walking and sitting dogs for the past 10 years. Whether it be simply walking with them or cleaning up big messes, I'm the person for you. I've had experience with little dogs like chihuahuas to big dogs such as german shepherds. During our walks I like to keep the pace to a light jog half of the time so that your puppy gets the right amount of exercise they deserve, depending on their size and fitness of course. I have been known to be the most responsible when it comes to watching and making sure that your dogs safety is my main priority. Can't wait to meet you and your puppy!
