Windfall/Medina
Carolyn Ludwig Mugrage Park is a dog-friendly place in the city of Medina, which is set to the east from the area and right across from the village of Windfall at 4985 Windfall Road. This is a spacious and well-maintained park with two separate areas for small and large dogs. Both spots feature walking trails, open turf play and wooded areas with many local tail-waggers welcoming your pooch and inviting him to run and explore the spot together. The Windfall Village is located to the north of Wadsworth, so the fastest and easiest way to get there is to head north via Boneta Road, which will take less than 20 minutes. Or try OH-94 North to get to the destination approximately in the same time depending on the traffic. Fido is sure to bark his praises if you take the short drive to the fur-iendly city of Medina!

City Center
Medina is a lovely and attractive for visitors city in Medina County with the population about 30,000. The place is set northeast of Wadsworth, so if you and your pooch are traveling via OH-57 North, you will get to the city in about 25 minutes. If you want to take the scenic route, try different roads such as Bear Swamp or Boneta, which will extend the trip for almost 15 miles. The first place you’ll want to visit in Medina’s city center is Memorial Park. There’s also a dog park on the premises, providing visitors with two separated grassy areas for large and small dogs. You’ll have lots of fun relaxing at the benches and picnic tables while sharing a picnic or perhaps some hot lunch with your best furry friend!

Canal Fulton
Along the Tuscarawas River in Stark County, you will find a beautiful city of Canal Fulton, which also serves as a suburb of Akron. Cherry Street East is the main street in the city dividing it into two parts: eastern and western. If you follow the river’s flow and head southwest along the green banks, you and your pooch will come to a fur-iendly place at 5500 Butterbridge Road Northwest: Canal Fulton Dog Park. Dogs adore playing and socializing in the off-leash area of the park, which features benches and seating for tired owners and water fountains for thirsty pups who need some “fuel” to make their paws work again. There are several trails in the area, such as Olde Muskingum Trail and Congressman Ralph Regular Towpath Trail, where you can cycle or walk accompanied by your lovely, leashed pup.

Massillon
Massillon is a city in Stark County located 8 miles west of Canton, 20 miles south of Akron and about 25 miles southwest of Wadsworth. The fastest way to get to the city will be via OH-21 South, which will take ruffly half an hour. The city center is separated in two by Tuscarawas River, with almost all the dining and shopping facilities located on the northwestern side. Once you are in the city center, go further west, passing North Sippo Park and stopping at Furnas Park located at 900 17th Street Northeast. This is an amazing spot for your pooch to have fun playing off-leash with other canine friends in one of two separate areas from small and large dogs. Locals love the place, especially because it is rather close to the shopping area on Lincoln Way East. The shopping facilities include some pet-friendly stores, such as the Home Depot.
