The Warminster Community Park has a puptastic off-lead area known as the Warminster Township Bark Park, where your feisty furball will love running around and burning off some energy. You will need to organise a ‘paw-pass’ to access this park, but the small fee is worth the well-maintained facilities you can enjoy here. There are two sections, one for big dogs and one for the smaller breeds, both in a secure, fully-fenced run area. Each section has a pavilion for seating for your comfort while you supervise, as well as water fountains and waste disposal bags. Outside the dog park, you and your pup can enjoy an on-lead walk along the five miles of trails, or rest under a tree for a packed lunch. This is a great park for families as there are many things for kids to do here too, such as checking out the miniature version of Warminster Township, playing in the playground or kicking a ball in the open fields.

Upper Southampton
Tamanend Upper Southampton Park in nearby Southampton is a great green space to come for some fresh air and exercise with your pet. The large open field is perfect for a game of chasey or fetch, and there are walking trails to seek out and explore too. Five miles south of Warminster is Mason’s Mill Park in Willow Grove, covering 76 acres of pawriffic parkland to enjoy. There are lovely nature trails to seek out as well as paved trails throughout the park’s grounds where you and your pooch can take a walk. The kids will love to visit here too, with a Safety Town to check out, volleyball courts, playgrounds, ball courts, baseball fields and an archery range – there is no shortage of fun to be had! The Pennypack Trail Byberry Rd. Trailhead in Bryn Athyn is worth seeking out if you are up for nice long trail walk. This scenic rail-trail extends a total of 14.45 miles through Montgomery County, taking you through the beautiful Pennypack Park south of the trailhead and along the creek. Keep a track of how far you have walked, as you will need to get back as well! Dogs are permitted on the trail, but must be leashed and any waste removed as you go. The trail is easy to traverse, but is partly gravel, so wear appropriate footwear. Bring plenty of water for both you and your walking buddy.
