Winter Springs includes sections of the rail-trail Cross Seminole Trail. You and your furry friend can go for a walk through quiet neighborhoods and a wooded area. The trail passes by several parks at which you and your pup can pause and play.

A half-hour drive will take you to Wekiva Island, a pawesome place for you and your pal to socialize. Activities include canoeing, kayaking, and swimming in the Wekiva River. If you prefer spending time on land, you may want to bring a leash to prevent your pup from taking a dip!

Visit Winter Park’s Park Avenue, which is also half an hour’s drive from Winter Springs, for fur-iendly dining and shopping experiences. Local businesses along the avenue are happy to provide treats and water bowls. The farmers’ market, held every Saturday, also welcomes pets. Man and his best friend are sure to have a furrific time in Winter Springs and surrounding areas!

Eastern Casselberry, which is less than 10 minutes south of Winter Springs, is home to Pawmosa Dog Park. This dog park is one acre, giving your dog just enough room to run around off his leash and burn off some energy while getting exercise. While there is a separate space for smaller dogs, if your small dog is confident, he can play around larger dogs. This restaurant serves a wide variety of international dishes next to an American classic: half-pound Angus burgers! Both restaurants have outdoor patios that are dog-friendly, as long as your dog is well-behaved and on a leash. The real question is: Can you resist sharing with your pooch? Bone Appetit!
