This is one of the coolest dog parks according to locals and frequent visitors! But don’t just take their word for it -- see for yourself! Two sections welcome different sized breeds, which is great if your pup needs a partner of the right size to play with. If there's no one at the park to play with, walk along the perimeter and let your mutt exercise at the obstacle course.

Pinecrest Estates
Pinecrest Estates is a pet-friendly neighborhood in central Turlock, about 15 miles northwest via Santa Fe Drive. Mostly residential, the neighborhood offers great shopping along Paulson Road if you need some goodies! But if you are ready for some off-leash fun, head to Turlock Dog Park, a huge place to run and play! Two shaded and grassy areas are separated from each other, so small pups don't need to "ruffhouse" with the big breeds. There aren't any signs to indicate which area is which, but you will sniff it out for yourself when you see the locals! Both sections have a bench to sit on, but drinking water is up to you.

Central Modesto
Modesto is the largest city in Stanislaus County and a great place to visit with Fido! Compared to some of the other cities in the surrounding area, downtown Modesto has plenty to offer furry babies. It's full of outdoor entertainment and fun! Elk Park, also known as Modesto Dog Park, is a great doggy spot just a skip and a hop from downtown. This is a decent facility with two sections for different breeds, agility equipment, and plenty of shade to relax in. It's not the largest dog park on our list, but there are plenty of furry locals to play with! Just make sure to bring your own water and waste bags along.

Located at the southwestern corner of Oakdale, Bridle Ridge is a moderately populated neighborhood with wonderful amenities for Fido! Oakdale Dog Park is a furrific place for your pooch to sniff out some new friends. The park is easy to find and enter -- it's right across Crane Road. The best time to socialize will be at noon and in the evening, after 3 p.m. The single area makes it a bit challenging for small breeds to play if they are shy, but the locals are extremely friendly and will love playing with your mutt! Water fountains, benches, and even waste bags are always provided for your convenience.
