This beautiful 244-acre state park offers a bit of seclusion from the busy, touristic community-feel that the Dells is typically associated with. Rocky Arbor State Park is within 1.5 miles of Wisconsin Dells. This expansive park is complete with wooded campsites, picnic and playground areas as well as numerous hiking trails. Plus, all of these amenities are located in a beautiful wooded pine tree and sandstone bluff setting.

Lake of the Dells
Heading a little further north, the Lake of the Dells neighborhood offers a pawesome opportunity to check out one of Wisconsin's most beautiful rivers: the Wisconsin River. Encourage your furry friend to burn off some energy at the partially fenced in Wayside Park before you begin your fun-filled day of adventure and wonder. Afterwards, head to one of the area's numerous campgrounds such as the Holiday Shores Campground & Resort for a relaxing day-trip on the lake or a multi-day camping trip, as rustic or luxurious as you both desire. Keep in mind your pups are only welcome at the campsites and on the surrounding trails in this park and should be kept on a leash at all times.

Lake Delton
Head a few minutes south of the Wisconsin Dells and you'll find yourself in the Lake Delton neighborhood. This is the purrfect neighborhood if you and your pup are all about lakeside fun. Enjoy some water-oriented fun at the neighborhood's namesake, Lake Delton, or head over to the lesser-visited Lake Blass. Lake Blass encompasses more than 30 acres of space and is a place where you and your pup are pawsitively sure to have loads of fun. Relax on the shore, or venture out onto the lake with your own canoe/kayak. You can also typically find places to rent supplies as well should you need to. After the day's festivities come to a close, you and your pup can head to the Green Owl to enjoy pizza, sandwiches and other tasty grub while surrounded by Wisconsin's finest pine trees.

Mirror Lake
A short 10-minute drive southwest of downtown Wisconsin Dells will bring you to the rustic, wild neighborhood of Mirror Lake. This neighborhood primarily consists of the Mirror Lake State Park, which is a beautiful natural area full of dog-friendly activities for you and your pup to take advantage of. Nearly 2,180 acres in size, Mirror Lake State Park offers its visitors (both human and dog alike) a beautiful view of the park's namesake: Mirror Lake. Half of the lake is surrounded by incredible sandstone outcroppings, making the photography opportunities here unbeatable. You and your pup can also enjoy swimming, canoeing, kayaking, bird-watching and miles upon miles of hiking trails. If you and your furry friend opt to stay overnight, there are numerous wooded campsites available.

Hill Street
Head just 20 minutes south of the Wisconsin Dells and you'll end up in the city of Baraboo. You'll find several green spaces to explore here, as well as the Baraboo River. Baraboo is also home to one of the few designated dog parks in the area, and a pretty furtastic one at that. Offering a playground for your children and a fenced-in dog area for your fur children, the Pat Liston Dog Park is fun for the whole family. This park has waste bag dispensers, so no need to pack those, but be sure to bring extra water for you and your pup, as there are no watering stations in the park.
