Woods Hole

Woods Hole understands the importance of feeding its visitors, so many of whom want to share their meals with their doggos. One of the best for this is Landfall Restaurant, where outdoor tables in front and comfy chairs on the dock in back await you and your furry friend. Delicious seafood menu items along with steak and other land-lubber dishes are sure to pawlease! Or try Shuckers, a raw bar and café that specializes in sushi but also offers sandwiches and traditional Cape Cod fare. Or Water Street Kitchen which sits on the docks overlooking the harbor! With outdoor seating and special welcomes for pups, you can’t beat this for beating your hunger! Woof!

Falmouth Town Center

The Town Center neighborhood of Falmouth is where you’ll find Beebe Woods with its family and dog-friendly trail. This out-and-back path is about 3 miles long, and features small hills and clear trail markings, along with boulders to climb and a pond where Fido will be fascinated by the fish swimming beneath the surface. Other wildlife can be seen here as well, such as chipmunks, squirrels and birds. Woof! Side paths branch off the main trail and offer a more challenging walk, but not an impossible one. Visit Icehouse Pond, or the Punch Bowl, a kettle pond among rocks nestled in the woods. This is a bit of serenity and quiet that’s perfect for kids and their pawsome pups!

East Falmouth

The Sea Farms Marsh Conservation Area is located in this neighborhood. It features two parking areas that provide access to Pacheco Path and the main trail that heads south to Indian’s Cove, and features a side path through marshland to Black Duck Cove. There are 2 loops in the otherwise out-and-back trail that meanders through lush woods and through wetlands for about a mile. Benches at Black Duck and Indian Coves provide pawrfect viewing of waterfowl such as heron, osprey, hawks and ducks. Pacheco Path is a dirt road that leads to a boat launch into Bourne Pond, perhaps for a little canoe or kayak trip with Fido! There is parking at the launch area. Woofderful!
