The Super 8 on the North Service Road allows guests to bring up to two dogs of any size for an additional fee of $15 per dog per night. Holiday Inn Express on North State Highway 47 has a place for you and your pup to bunk for the night and will accommodate as many as two dogs for a charge of $25 per dog per night. The hotel has no size restrictions for your pups. America's Best Value Inn on Arlington Way permits up to two pups weighing no more than 30 pounds. This hotel requests a visitor call in advance to secure a room. The hotel may waive its size restrictions under certain circumstances.

Wentzville is ten miles east of Wright City. Quail Ridge Dog Park will put some spunk back into your senior pup! This dog park offers two and a half fenced acres for some off-leash play and exercise. This space has a separate section reserved for those smaller furry pals. The ground here is all natural -- grass and some patches of dirt. Trees can be found throughout the dog park. A covered pavilion is a convenient spot for people to congregate. Drinking water is available in the dog park most of the year (it's turned off in the coldest months). Waste stations are amply stocked with baggies for easy clean-ups.

State Highway/ Ebert Lane
Broemmelsiek Dog Park is about ten miles east of Wright City. This paw-inspiring dog park has almost five acres for your pup's exercise and canine fun! Your small pup will find a reserved area, too. The dog park features several pieces of agility equipment so your pup can walk a beam or climb an A-frame. Some dogs will enjoy a bit of extra training. The highlight of the dog park is its swimming hole. A parade of hot fur-babies can often be seen heading toward the water on a hot day. Drinking water is available on-site for all. The human companions appreciate the many covered pavilions.

Washington City Center
The city of Washington is about a twenty-five-mile drive south of Wright City. Burger Park on International Avenue is the destination of doggie choice from November through March of the year. The fenced space is the seasonally operated dog park. (The rest of year, the grass is used as a soccer field). This dog run is for dogs of all sizes -- no separate areas for petite pups. The amenities are few here. Water is not immediately available. People bring their own seats, too. After you're finished at the park, the city has paw-lenty of dog-friendly restaurants for you and your pup to try out! John Bier's Deck on West Main has umbrella-covered outdoor tables complete with a view of the Missouri River.

South Point
South Point is about twenty-six miles south of Wright City. South Point Bark Park is Washington's year-round dog playground. The dog park has a large, mostly grassy space fenced for dogs' freedom from the leash. Dogs sniff out a few new canine pals here in this pawpular gathering spot. The dog park includes a separate enclosure for safer small dog socialization and many benches scattered throughout. A few large trees provide welcome shade on those hottest days. The dog park currently does not have drinking water available on-site. Plans for the dog park include the addition of water fountains, and fundraising is ongoing for dog park improvements. Mud can be a problem, and the dog park occasionally will close for maintenance after a hard rain.
