Dog Areas in Wrightsville

Wrightsville, Pennsylvania has all the charm of a small town! There aren’t many people, with the population estimated to be just under 2,500 in 2016. Wrightsville has quaint, old-fashioned buildings which might just make you feel like you’re in a movie. This small-town charm is deceptive, though! Wrightsville isn’t actually a town; it’s a borough in the greater York County.

However, as is usually the case in small towns, there isn’t always much to do, and it’s even worse if you’re looking for something to do with your canine companion! Wrightsville has no dog-friendly restaurants and no dog parks. There are also no veterinarian offices in the immediate area, so if you’re looking for one, you’ll have to travel a short distance outside of the borough. Don’t worry about your dog getting too bored, though. There are many options for dog-friendly dining and dog-friendly parks within a 20-mile radius of Wrightsville.

The main advantage of Wrightsville is its location along the scenic Susquehanna River, which makes the pawfect place for a riverside stroll with your best furry friend. If you’re looking for small-town charm with nearby fun for your four-legged friends, make sure you give Wrightsville a chance. You never know what fun is in store if you step out of your comfort zone!

If you’re looking for a laid-back time with your pooch, head over to nearby Columbia’s Columbia Kettle Works! This brewery, which is located less than two miles across the river from Wrightsville, has six dog-friendly patio tables. Not a drinker? No problem! Kettle Works also serves up non-alcoholic beverages and, as the name implies, popcorn. If you’re looking for something a bit heavier, check out their mouth-watering sandwiches or finger-lickin'-good ribs. Fido needs to stay on his leash at all times, and good behavior is a requirement, for both you and your pooch. Oh, and don't forget to bring a water bowl. Bone Appetit!
