The terrain in this district is flat and easy to walk with your dog with no hills or inclines to climb while strolling the quiet, peaceful, residential streets of Arden Park. Roads in the area tend to curve which provides a constantly changing vista as you travel the region. Residential properties feature large homes with deep setbacks and lots of space between. These spacious residential properties have beautiful lawns and other landscaping features, making it a pleasant neighborhood to walk with your pup. There are not a lot of separate sidewalks and no grassy berms in this neighborhood, so you will have to walk on the street at times. Make sure your dog is leashed, away from traffic, and that you walk on the right side of the road for safety. Because pavement can get very hot in summer, doggie boots may be a good idea to protect your pup’s paws.

There are two parks and recreation areas in the Arden Park vicinity. Arden Park, for which the community is named, has an outdoor pool, covered playgrounds, tennis courts, picnic shelters, basketball courts, and a softball field. Paved pathways to access these amenities make a pretty greenway for walking with your canine buddy.

Cresta Park is also located in the Arden Park region and has a tennis court, basketball court, soccer field, and play equipment. Paved pathways for walking provide a small greenway with shade trees and lawns that make ideal resting spots on a hot summer day.

The Creekside Park and Nature Area located in the community to the northwest provides greenway trails and a creek in a more natural setting. You may need to drive to reach this trailhead, but it is well worth it to enjoy the beautiful trees and the open area located here which is a great place to play and run with your dog.
