Dog Walking in Big Sur

A stretch of California’s central coast, between San Simeon and Carmel, Big Sur is a scenic town where dog lovers and their furry friends can make the most of some of the nation’s most beautiful beaches.

One such beach is Sand Dollar Beach, a dog-friendly and crescent-shaped beach which is a short walk from the Pacific Valley Cliffs. Bring your precious pup along the enjoy the sunrise, and spend the day tiptoeing in the tide until sunset! Your dog will need to remain on their leash at all times, and please don’t forget to clean up after your pup to ensure that the beach remains open and dog-friendly for the foreseeable future. That means bringing your own doggy waste bags! Additionally, it can get pretty toasty on those California beaches, so bring plenty of water to keep puppy hydrated.
