“Dogs are my favorite people!”
Hi there! I am committed to you and your pets receiving the best while in my care. I have been volunteering with animals for many years. I spend 2 days a week at a local animal shelter, caring for and evaluating companion animals for adoption. I have experience with many breeds and all sizes. I do not have a favorite breed, I love them all! I enjoy being outdoors and taking my own dogs for hikes around the Sierras and Foothills. I look forward to meeting you and your pets.

“Happy dogs ... happy people! That’s my goal”
My name is Kathy, I have taught preschool for over 10 years. I am married. We have 5 and 5 grandchildren. We have had big dogs, little dogs. And now the recent addition of an English Bulldog puppy. We walk everyday and go to the dog park as often as we can. I am available on a daily basis. I have a lot of experience working with young children (ages 1-5) so I think I'm a pretty patient person and that this quality would be helpful with dogs since they're a lot like kids!

Hi dog parents! My name is Hope, and I’m a professional ballet dancer and animal lover. Growing up, I always was surrounded by animals, and I love dogs of all shapes and sizes. When I was a kid, I was raised by miniature poodles, chihuahuas, a yorkie, a German shepherd/ great Dane mix, a Boston terrier, and three staffies/bully breeds. I love exercise, nature, and the sun, and I’m excited to walk even the largest or highest-energy pup!

Hello my name is Cliff and own a Sibarian Huskey, I love walking dogs, I treat them as like they are my own dog, but I will absolutely not walk a dog that will extremely overly pull during a walk, I say that for my safety and especially for the dogs safety for that dog can choke on leash or even worse.

Cameron Park is a census-designated place located in El Dorado County, near Sacramento. The historical background of this city can be observed from the grinding rocks and burial mounds that are visible throughout Cameron Park -- dating back to the original inhabitants known as the Southern Maidu Indians. The local lake has a surrounding trail to hike and enjoy, as well as a pleasant beach and areas to swim. Several species of wildlife can be found frolicking around the lake, too; these animals may include turtles, area-specific fish, and aquatic fowl.
There are five dog-friendly restaurants in Cameron Park. The local favorite is Fenando’s Cosa del Sol, which serves burritos, tamales, wine and other mouthwatering Mexican foods. Dogs are welcome to join you at this highly-rated restaurant on the front patio where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city and a fantastic meal. Other restaurants serve pizzas, pastas, and burgers to satisfy the cravings of all hungry visitors. In neighboring cities, several more food options are also available, such as Jack’s Urban Eats in Roseville and Sweet Pie’s in Placerville.
Need a place to stay in Cameron Park? You can choose from three different dog-friendly lodging options. No matter what you’re looking to do while you’re here, whether it’s exercising, eating, or sleeping, Cameron Park has got you and your pooch covered!
This quaint city, located 36 miles northeast of Cameron Park, is known as being one of the first places where gold was discovered in the Sierra Nevada. Apart from its heritage, this is a beautiful green place, with Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park right in the town center. The James Marshall Monument in the southern part of the park is a noteworthy tourist attraction. The park is also a wonderful place for on-leash walks with your pooch, where you can explore countless trails spread all over. Going up the stream of the South Fork American River, you will find another place to visit with Fido. Dave Moore Nature Area appears to be a trail loop which also provides river access for swimming as a bonus for well-behaved pups. The most convenient way to visit Coloma going from Cameron Park will be driving through Lotus Road by car for approximately 25 minutes.
The city of Folsom, located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada in Sacramento County, is a pet-friendly place to take your dog for a walk. Fido can play off-leash in Folsom Dog Park, located within Cumming Family Park, on the western part of the city just right across Oak Chan Elementary School. The park provides visitors with two areas for large and small dogs separately so your pup can easily find some same-size-friends. There’s also running water and lots of space to romp and run! The park isn’t typically busy in the morning or during the afternoon (excluding weekends) so if you want to come by for a morning jog with your pooch at your side, Folsom Dog Park is the pawfect place!
A special dog park -- C-Bar-C Dog Park -- is surrounded by two neighborhoods: Oak Crest Village on the east and Farmette Hills on the west. Getting to Citrus Heights will not take long: going straight via US-50 West, you’ll arrive in approximately 30 minutes. The area around these two neighborhoods has some shopping facilities and Northwoods Park situated against the dog park. C-Bar-C Dog Park is an alluring off-leash area for dogs of all temperaments, sizes, and needs. The place is fully fenced and protects especially active pooches from running away. The park has a separate area for small dogs, lots of shade trees, a water spigot, and outside seating including benches and tables. For the joy and excitement of those pooches who adore water and fancy themselves swimmers, there are several pools and a water hose to enjoy.
Carmichael Park in the city of Carmichael is surrounded by many small neighborhoods. The closest ones are Spyglass Oaks to the south, Jay Jay Estates to the north, and Grand Park and Landis Estate to the west. There is an extensive shopping and dining area right across the street from the park on Fair Oaks Boulevard. Looking for a place to bring Fido? If you ask the locals, they’ll agree that there’s no better place to engage your pup in sporty activities than in Carmichael Dog Park. This fenced park has two separate areas for dogs of different sizes and an extensive off-leash area to explore, romp and have a great day out! Other facilities which pet-owners may find very handy are water spots, benches, and shade trees. Grab a ball and head down to Carmichael!
The dog-friendly city of Auburn is set across North Fork American River and welcomes visitors with their canine friends to come and play in Ashley Memorial Dog Park. If you are travelling here from Cameron Park, you can choose between going around Folsom Lake via Auburn Folsom Road and Green Valley Road, or go to the east though CA-49 South. Auburn is a historic spot, boasting the California Gold Rush as part of its heritage, but it also has a place for your pooch to play and socialize with some new fur-iends. Ashley Memorial Dog Park has a separate area for small dogs if your pup prefers meeting dogs of his size, walking trails to look for an adventure, lots of trees, a dog wash area, and a lake with ducks. A new installment of agility equipment is planned, making this the pawfect spot for a day out with Fido!
