Harvard Heights has limited parks and greenways due to its central urban location and the length of time it has been established, although historic neighborhoods with large, mature tree lined roads provide a greenway experience for many locals and their dogs and are definitely worth a stroll with your four legged friend to enjoy the beautiful and unique houses located there.

The Pico Union Vest Pocket Park is located in the neighborhood with playground equipment and picnic tables. The Normandie Park Recreation Center also has a playground, sports fields, and facilities. There is a large park in the adjacent community of Macarthur Park which has pathways for pedestrians and pets to enjoy greenways.

If you are looking for some off leash fun with your dog, there are several off leash dog parks within easy driving distance from Harvard Heights, where your dog can enjoy playing with other canines in a safe, enclosed area.
