Hollywood Hills is a large, hillside residential neighborhood located in the north-central region of Los Angeles. Stretching about seven miles, Hollywood Hills is a part of the Santa Monica Mountains and is well known for some of its celebrity residents including Christina Aguilera, Chris Pratt, Rebel Wilson, and more. There are several pet services in the neighborhood. Tailwaggers, a pet supply and grooming store, is located in the southeast corner of Hollywood Hills on North Bronson Avenue near a variety of restaurants and eateries. Party Animal is another pet food store located on Sunset Boulevard.

With many large parks spotting the mountainous community, there are many opportunities for hiking and exploring different scenic overlooks. The climate in the city of Los Angeles is warm all year with averages in the medium range during the year. Walking in Hollywood Hills might prove strenuous because of its many hills and hikes, so avoid walks here during hot and humid days.

Hollywood Hills is known for its extreme inclines and many hills, so walking here is going to provide a good workout. The hills might tire your pup, so be sure to bring plenty of water and take breaks every now and then. The climb is worth it though because the panoramic views the neighborhood offers aren't found anywhere else in Los Angeles. Hollywood Hills is a lot quieter than other parts of the city and is filled with different canyons and parks to explore, so you will appreciate the area's less busy susrroundings.

Wherever you walk in the neighborhood, you'll encounter natural foliage. With the numerous parks and trails, there is something different to find every day. If you want to experience bustling Hollywood life, the Sunset Strip at the southern border of the neighborhood offers a more flat area to walk with busy sidewalks filled with plenty of attractions such as the Sunset Plaza shopping mall.

If you're looking for a nature-based walk, Hollywood Hills is the place to go. The neighborhood provides access to a number of different trails. Runyon Canyon Park is located in the center of Hollywood Hills and is one of the most crowded hiking trails in the area. As crowded as it can get, the park offers a 90-acre off-leash dog park where your pet can explore and enjoy the splendor of natural life. On the west side of the neighborhood is Branson Canyon: a section of Griffith Park whose caves are famous for being the filming location of many films and TV shows.

Another smaller park is the Briar Summit Open Space Preserve. While offering a chance to get close with wildlife, the trail isn't shaded and has many steep inclines, so you and your pet may work up a sweat. For something a little easier, Lake Hollywood Park is a quiet grassy area offering views of the Hollywood sign.
