The Wilshire Country Club is a large green space located on the eastern end of the Melrose shopping district and walks in the adjacent districts enable pedestrians and their dogs to enjoy the lush landscape of this premier golf course and the country club grounds. The Fairfax High School, located on the western end of the community, also provides some green space and sports fields for enjoying with your dog when school and sports teams are not using the facilities.

If you are looking for a nearby green space adventure, Runyon Canyon Park is a short drive to the north and features 160 acres of natural park areas and trails. Dogs are permitted, and there are 90 acres of off-leash areas designated. Dog owners must be in control of their dogs at all times and clean up after their pets.
