Reseda is a part of the San Fernando Valley and this highly diverse community is well known for its cultural diversity as well. If you or your pup are music fans, you will love the well-known concert venue that has been featured in movies and visited by many of the movers and shakers of the rock and roll world. You never know when you might stumble into the next big box office hit!

Grocery stores and food are prolific throughout the neighborhood, so you will never have to go hungry or thirsty. For your pup, there are plenty of places to sate their hunger as well as opportunities for a quick spa appointment at the local groomer. You will be pleased to know that walking is a past time that can be enjoyed all year long as the climate is quite mild and, other than some Pacific storms, there is little that will stop you from your daily outings.

The terrain is flat through this area of the San Fernando Valley which is good news if you or your pet are not up for difficult hills that are in other parts of the valley. For those that need the extra challenge, higher elevations are never very far away, so you can either pick up your pace and time to wear your hyperactive pup down or you can take a trip to one of the parks in nearby neighborhoods that offers trails through the challenging hills.

The San Fernando Valley is surrounded by such areas where there are plentiful trails to satisfy the most hardcore walker. In Reseda, you will find sidewalks that are typically lined with patches of grass and trees for easy potty breaks. That is not the case in many of the Los Angeles neighborhoods, so be sure that your pooch enjoys the pleasure of exploring the greenery in this area.

Reseda has two parks with greenways available. Reseda Park is situated along the Los Angeles River and offers a path around Reseda Lake as well as trees and grass within much of the park. There is a picnic area and a playground available. Your pup will also love to take a break at the Randal D. Simmons Park which also offers plenty of space to run and places to rest in the summer heat.

You may want to take your four-footed friend out of the neighborhood long enough for a visit to the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area which also happens to have an off-leash dog park just outside the southeast corner of the community. The Recreation Area is also home to the Lake Balboa/Anthony C. Beilenson Park which also has ample hiking, a lake, and some higher elevations for those looking for a bit of a challenge as they walk.
