South Park is a 1.41 square mile community, bordered on it’s westside by the Harbor Freeway. This busy freeway is not a pedestrian friendly corridor, however, the rest of South Park features flat terrain and a regular grid pattern street layout, typical of many urban areas with plenty of sidewalks for pedestrians to walk with their pets. There is a wide variety of commercial and residential buildings in the area. Styles and architecture of homes and businesses vary widely, in this well established neighborhood. Landscaping also varies, from traditional lawns, gardens and trees, to more climate friendly palm trees, desert landscaping, and patio covered front yards.
