Dog Walking in Palmdale

Palmdale is a large community that was founded in 1886 by German/Swiss Lutherans. The town was initially named Palmenthal, “Valley of the Palm trees”, despite the fact that there are no palm trees in Palmdale. The small village has expanded rapidly of the decades, and this pet-friendly city has all the amenities you would normally expect from a modern city.

Do you have very active dogs and do you live in the Palmdale area? Treat your dog(s) and yourself to a visit to the Forrest E. Hull Park. This magnificent park, located in Lancaster, also has a dedicated off-leash dog park. The dog park is suitable for both little dogs and large dogs as the park is split off in two sections. The rest of the park is also definitely worth a visit.

There are, however, various other ways for dog owners to give their Fido some much-needed exercise. Palmdale is surrounded by hills, mountains and forests that make for many interesting trails through nature. One of the most traveled roads is the Barrel Springs Trail, which is a 4.5-mile route over the rolling hills.

The people of Palmdale love animals. There are various venues that allow dogs, including the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf coffee shop and the local In-N-Out Burger. Finding a place to stay with your animals is also no issue in Palmdale California.
