India Basin is located on the east coast along the San Francisco Bay and is San Francisco's easternmost neighborhood. This region contains a mixture of residential homes, apartments, retail, commercial, and industrial activity. India Basin is named for the small water basin located here off the Bay that has attracted much shipping and industrial activity to the region. There are plenty of residents that call this neighborhood home and shops, eateries, and other services are accessible on foot as are the two large natural areas along the Bay.

The temperatures in San Francisco is mild, not too cold in winter, or too hot during the summer which is ideal for on-foot travel. Your dog will enjoy lots of walks with perfect walking weather in walkable San Francisco.
