“Dogs are my favorite people!”

Hi there! I am committed to you and your pets receiving the best while in my care. I have been volunteering with animals for many years. I spend 2 days a week at a local animal shelter, caring for and evaluating companion animals for adoption. I have experience with many breeds and all sizes. I do not have a favorite breed, I love them all! I enjoy being outdoors and taking my own dogs for hikes around the Sierras and Foothills. I look forward to meeting you and your pets.

“Happy dogs ... happy people! That’s my goal”

My name is Kathy, I have taught preschool for over 10 years. I am married. We have 5 and 5 grandchildren. We have had big dogs, little dogs. And now the recent addition of an English Bulldog puppy. We walk everyday and go to the dog park as often as we can. I am available on a daily basis. I have a lot of experience working with young children (ages 1-5) so I think I'm a pretty patient person and that this quality would be helpful with dogs since they're a lot like kids!

When I was a kid, I was raised by miniature poodles, chihuahuas, a yorkie, a German shepherd/ great Dane mix, a Boston terrier, and three staffies/bully breeds. “A walk makes for a happy dog!”

My name is Geoff. I have had two dogs and both were rescues. I believe the value of walking a dog is invaluable. I know people have busy lives and aren’t able to walk their dogs as much as they would like. I want to be that person that can fill in the gaps for people when they can’t walk their dog and it’s needed. I have an affinity for dogs and being able to walk them will be good for me and for them. A good walk makes a dog happy and I enjoy it. I can do sittings and boarding as well.

Dog Walking in Shingle Springs

Shingle Springs is a small town in El Dorado County, California, that is right in the center of gold rush country. The town has grown from the mining camp founded during the California gold rush, but remains a small town with a love for its pups. Besides being a great place to count your gold coins, Shingle Springs has seven veterinarians that your pup can visit, making this tiny community a great dog-friendly town.

Taking your furry friend to a park for a great walk or a nice game of fetch is always a great way to spend the day, and luckily, Shingle Springs is filled with parks for you two to visit. Head over to Placerville KOA which takes you back to the gold rush era and gives you a great camping experience. The campgrounds welcome your dog to stay with you if he remains on leash, and your dog will love the awesome trails the two of you can explore. Placerville KOA has some great amenities too, like bike rentals, a kitchen to cook in, free WIFI, cable TV, fishing, and even a classic arcade.

Although there are no restaurants located inside of Shingle Springs that are dog-friendly, you are surrounded by a plethora of restaurants you can take you pup to on the outskirts of Shingle Springs. Head into Cameron Park and try out Wally’s Pizza Bar which offers pizza, pasta, and beer. They have an outdoor patio which welcomes your dog to join you while you eat.
