Aeaea is a small area of townhomes along Rosalind Avenue, directly across the street from the Cape View Elementary School. Did you know that no matter where you live in Cape Canaveral, you will always have an excellent view of the various launches from the Space Center? It's true! You never know, you could be out walking your dog the next time a rocket blasts off!

While you might be next door to a school, you're not quite this close to most the essential amenities you are likely to need such as grocery stores, department stores, and pet supply stores. You can find all of these and more after a ten-minute drive south on Ridgewood Avenue to where it connects with the West Cocoa Beach Causeway. Along the causeway, you will find plenty of big box retailers, grocery stores, a mall, and pet supply stores where you can buy the things you need for your favorite four-legged friend.

Despite being a mostly residential area, the school and the surrounding apartment complexes add to the level of traffic in the area, especially during the school year. Going for walks can be challenging at the best of times and it's a good thing there are plenty of sidewalks for you and your dog to use! Along with this, there are plenty of residential communities in the area for you and your dog to explore, extending your walks a little further each day to help keep both of you fit and healthy.

One thing you must be aware of from the outset is that with an elementary school across the street, there will be kids and parents walking to and from the school in the morning and afternoon. It would be best if you could avoid going for your walks during these times, but if you have no choice, be sure you use a short leash! This will give you more control and will keep each encounter a little safer.

Here in Cape Canaveral, you can take your dog to any of the city parks, thanks to an ordinance passed in 2018. However, you cannot take them on the beach. All of the city parks require your dog to be on a leash and all are equipped with bag dispensers and receptacles for easy cleanup.

If a long walk on the beach with your dog is more what you had in mind, you'll have to drive down to Cocoa Beach where dogs are permitted. There are several access points to the coast, including one at the Cocoa Beach Public Dog Park. The park covers 32,000 square feet and offers fenced-in areas for both large and small dogs.

You can also walk down to the beach from the same parking lot and take your dog for walks on the sand for as many miles as you feel you can handle!
