The Seaview Townhomes sit on Adams Avenue between Ridgewood Avenue and Presidential Court. The beach is only a two-minute walk to the east past the public parking area! The only bad thing about the coastline is that you can't take your dog with you, meaning that you'll need to find some outdoor alternatives. However, with your general proximity to the water, you will be able to enjoy the cool breezes coming in during a large part of the year.

The only real disadvantage to living here is the lack of any real shopping amenities or options. You'll have to drive down to the West Cocoa Beach Causeway to find what you need! This stretch of road is the central shopping district sitting between Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral. There are several big-box retailers in this area along with a Winn-Dixie supermarket where you can pick up groceries for your family and food for your pooch.

The Seaview Townhomes are part of a much larger residential area where most of the streets have sidewalks for you and your hound to use. It is easy enough to avoid those without, but keeping to the pavement is the safest way for both of you to enjoy your walks. Regardless of the paths you take, you won't have to encounter any hills on your walks, so pups and people of all athletic abilities should be able to get around without much issue.

Traffic tends to be hectic during the morning and evening rush hours. You should plan your walks for those times when the traffic is at a minimum. Your best option during the warmer months of the year is during the early morning hours while the air is still crisp and cool.

When school is in, you should also expect to run across a lot of pedestrians coming to and from various locations along the roadways. Nervous pups may want to stick to quieter areas.

Most of the parks here in Cape Canaveral are dog-friendly and are equipped with waste bags and trash cans for your use. Cleaning up after your pet is required, as is the use of a leash for all visiting pups.

You and your dog can walk north on Presidential Court to Cherie Down Park. This park has plenty of parking as it offers public access to the beach. There are restrooms and picnic pavilions for you to use. More importantly, there is a vast area of grass and shade trees for you and your pooch to run around and have a good time.

The nearest dog park is fifteen minutes south in Cocoa Beach. The Cocoa Beach Public Dog Park is your typical dog park with one fenced-in area for big dogs and another one for the little guys. Both sections have water hoses for thirsty hounds, chairs to sit on, and plenty of shade to help you beat the Florida heat.
