The North Village is a combination of residential homes, wooded areas, and ponds bordered by the 417 Tollway and Bonners Creek. It is tucked to the east on Celebration Avenue and on your right side as you approach the main thoroughfare of Celebration Blvd. While there are some shops and restaurants in the area, they are more the 'strip mall' type and not dog-friendly.

A mostly sidewalk experience for you and your furry companion await you in this neighborhood, but the mild year-round weather can make for a pleasant jaunt any time of day. Showers will sneak in during the humid summer afternoons, but the winters are usually calm. Protect your light colored or shorthaired pups from the sun and protect sensitive paws on hot sidewalks. Enjoy the planned community views of the golf course and creek but don’t forget to say hi to folks out and about to make new friends, furry and human!

The North Village is a residential neighborhood, but it has many green spaces that give it a pretty diverse terrain. It will be a flat combination of artificial and natural turf of just over 300 homes with some nice grassy areas mixed in. The homes in the neighborhood have rear garage entry, so the roads at the back of the homes act as more of an alleyway meant for automotive traffic, not pedestrian.

Stay on the sidewalks or in the planned green spaces for your safety and your pups. It will be obvious what is a private lawn and what is a public green space but in both places, come prepared to clean up and dispose of any waste. There are also some planned water features in the neighborhood that host small wildlife and a change of pace from the concrete. Enjoy the diversity of this part of Celebration with your pup on a leash!

The North Village, as all of Celebration, is built on marshland and the trees and water features are plentiful. Off the main entrance is the golf course that is nice to walk the perimeter of but would not be considered dog-friendly. Instead, head down Celebration Blvd. and enjoy the planned green space that sits in the center of the main road. Open green space is great for on leash activities and a welcome soft spot for our pups paws.

Keep going to the end of the boulevard to the wooded circle area that welcomes our furry friends still on a leash but with some natural turf to explore. Look for the planned trails as the North Village Loop is a 2.1-mile jaunt around the main boulevard and the Acadia Loop is a 1.7-mile walk around the golf course. Bonners Creek is on the far east border of the neighborhood and is where you will find the most natural space.
