Springs Park is a small community of single-family homes, townhomes, an elementary school, and a large church. The area is within a short driving distance of the east coast of Coral Springs where there are parks and beaches for you and your pooch to play on. There are dog-friendly parks, pet supply stores, groomers, and a veterinary hospital all within driving distance. Despite being a carefully planned community, someone seems to have forgotten to include sidewalks in their plans! The good news is that Mullin Park is just to the south behind the Museum of Coral Springs History. If you are new to the city, remember that the climate here is fantastic all year long with winter lows in the 50s at night and 70s during the day. Summer is even better with lows in the 70s and highs in the low 90s. However, don't forget your umbrella during the summer as thunderstorms can seem to come from nowhere!

This community sits on the level and is further surrounded by similar ground all the way to the east coast and to the Everglades Wildlife Management Area to the west. Unlike many areas of Tampa, those who live in Spring Park have direct access to Mullins Park with over 70 acres of grass and sports fields to wander around. Bear in mind that if you decide to walk around the neighborhood, you must walk against oncoming traffic and wear some type of reflective gear or a headlamp at dusk or in the dark. Traffic may not always be busy, but it does stay steady most of the day so exercise a bit of caution!

Spring Park has the advantage of being right across the street from Mullins Park, the largest park in Tampa. Here, you and your pooch have access to 70 acres of green space to play in and get in a little exercise! To the west of the area lies the Everglades National Wildlife Management Area. Here, you and your pup can wander along mile upon mile of trails and levees as you meander through the swamps. Just remember to stick to the trails! Stepping off the hard-packed trail could leave you stuck in sludge or knee-deep in dark swamp water. These trails are an excellent way to view the local wildlife including many species of birds, hogs, deer, and more. Don't forget to keep food away from the alligators as giving the local wildlife food can lead to them invading more and more human habitats which can put them and you in harm's way!
