The neighborhood of Braddock sits on S Beach Street near Bethune Point Park, the Halifax Harbor Marina, and is only a short drive from the Daytona Beach Golf Course. One of the benefits of living here is that you are close enough to everything the city has to offer, both on the mainland side and over on the beach side, without being on top of it.

If dining out is your thing, the Chart House is a short drive away along with many other great places to eat. Bethune Point Park is just across the street and offers plenty of room to stretch your legs and walk along the west bank of the Halifax River.

With summers of endless days in the 90s and plenty of sunshine, you and Fido can take advantage of this by going out every day in the early morning for lovely walks together. Doing so will be good for both of you!

The walking terrain here is surprisingly suburban with large blocks, streets lined with sidewalks, and places to go where both of you can walk on the grass. When it comes to walking in an area like this, you must be creative if you want to keep your walks interesting.

Bear in mind that your pup does far more exploring with their nose than their eyes. While you might not mind walking the same route every day, your pooch will quickly tire of the same smells every day. The easy way around this is to walk around different blocks each time you go out for your hikes.

Take them for a walk out to the Marina offices or for a romp around Bethune Point Park. The more variety you can build into your strolls, the more both of you will look forward to going out instead of dreading the prospect of another walk around the same boring terrain.

There are several different green spaces you and your pooch can check out from your home in Braddock beyond Bethune Point Park. If you take the trail leading out to the Halifax Harbor Marina, there is plenty of grass to walk on while you gaze out at the many boats cruising up and down the Halifax River.

Three blocks to the south, there is a small area of grass and trees the two of you can run around on or you can use it to access the footbridge that takes you over to the spit of land sitting out on the river. Here, you and your pup can run around between the trees and scrub or hit the riverbanks from where Fido can go swimming. Then, of course, you can pop your dog in the car and take them over to the coast where the two of you can walk for miles, enjoying plenty of fresh air and sunshine.
