Paris Park is a small neighborhood of single-family homes located just off US 92 behind The L. Gale Lemerand School of Nursing. If you like crab, the Crab Shop restaurant is on the corner or you can find a fantastic selection of family-style and fine dining eateries all throughout town.

You can also find a selection of pet supply stores in the near vicinity along with a variety of small parks with enough grass for you and your pup to play on. Daytona has something for everyone! It is home to the World's Most Famous Beach, the Daytona Beach International Speedway, Bike Week, Spring Break, and so much more.

The summer sun never stops shining, the surf stays in the 80s, and the temperatures hover in the 90s all summer long. Come for the summer sun, but don't forget to stay for the winters! It only gets cold here in January. If you can even call 50°F cold!

Walking your dog couldn't get much easier than living in the Daytona area where the ground is flat everywhere you look! There are plenty of sidewalks for the two of you to walk on and a virtually endless number of blocks to wander around.

The hardest part of walking in this area is trying to keep things interesting. To do this, you can choose different blocks to walk around, vary the directions you take, and vary the length of your walks. Some days, you can go out for a quick walk and on others, you can go for the marathon.

Remember that the surface of the pavement is rough and your pup's paws need time to toughen up. During the summer months, the pavement will be far too hot for them to walk on without burning sensitive puppy paws. Take your walks during the early morning hours, long before the world around you starts to heat up.

There truly isn't much in the way of green space in the nearby vicinity. The nearest park of any size is Tuscawilla Park where you and your dog can wander around in the shade. The park is also home to the Daytona Beach Zipline Adventure and a 65-pin disc golf course.

From here, the next sizable green space to enjoy is outside of town on US 92. This is the Tiger Bay Wildlife Management Area including the Tiger Bay State Forest. Together, you and your pooch can hit the trails and hike through over 30,000 acres of pine-palmettos, cypress swamps, and the kind of dense forest you can only find in Central Florida. While you are hiking along, be sure to keep your eyes open for bald eagles, whitetail deer, and the occasional black bear. Much of the park is covered in relatively new growth following the summer wildfires in 1998 that destroyed over 15,000 acres.
