The Ocean Ritz Condo is exceptionally well located in the northern part of Daytona on the beachside close to the border alongside Ormond Beach. Shopping is close by thanks to the Publix Supermarket and shopping center that is within walking distance. You can technically live here without a car as there are banks and plenty of the best restaurants in town all within walking distance.

Living right on the beach has other advantages such as being able to walk out the door and straight onto the sand. There is even a beachfront park nearby for your and your pup to visit when you have the spare time to play.

You can take advantage of every minute the sun shines on the sands, heating the water to an average temperature of 82°F during the summer. Plus, you can enjoy walks on the beach all winter long when the temperatures are in the 50s and 60s.

Living in the Ocean Ritz Condo lets you take full advantage of the beach. Like most beaches, this one offers you a choice of two different types of terrain to walk on. The first is the dry, soft sand closest to the condo. This sand tends to suck at your feet, making it much harder for you to walk and gives your legs muscles a good workout. You may find, at first, that you have to keep this part of your walks short until everyone's legs are up to going further.

The second option is the wet sand where it meets the water. This is a much firmer surface to walk on and you have the added benefit of being able to kick off your shoes and walking in the water. If you get out early enough in the morning, you might be among the only people and dogs there for the perfect time to go for a jog!

Beyond the fact that you are living on the beach, there isn't much open space nearby. There is a small park known as the Andy Romano Beachfront Park nearby, but if you want a park where both you and your pup can stretch your legs, it's only a short drive north on the mainland to Bulow Creek and Tomoka State Parks.

Together, these parks cover over 18,000 acres of hardwood hammock and dense Florida forest to explore. Take your dog to see all that's left of the Bulow Plantation and the Fairchild Oak, a massive 400-year-old live oak and one of the largest of its species in the south. Then walk the trails in Tomoka State Park until they take you to Nocoroco, a village built by the Timucuan Indians approximately 1,500 years ago due to the high concentration of fish found in the headwaters of the Tomoka River.
