The Miami Jewelry District is home to some of the finest jewelers in the state. Most of the homes here are condominiums. Does this mean that you can't have a dog here? Not really, but it does mean you are going to be stuck walking Fifi on the pavement as this area has minimal amounts of green space. However, if you are in the market for fine jewelry, you are living in paradise as there are plenty of haute couture jewelry stores to shop at!

Along with these, there are numerous excellent restaurants to visit. There are even a couple of pet supply stores in the area and being near the waterfront presents you with spectacular views of the beaches and oceans. You will love the weather here as it stays in the 60s during the winter and in the 80s to 90s all summer long. This is perfect weather for taking Jocko on a long walk!

As you might expect, the terrain in the Miami Jewelry District is made up of mostly concrete sidewalks and paved surfaces. Walking Jocko here can be a bit challenging as many of those who do tend to forget to pick up after their dog makes a mess. As you can imagine, this tends to make many of those who live here more than a little angry. So be sure you always keep a bag with you on your walks and clean up after your pup.

There are so many blocks you can walk around to get in your daily exercise. Keep in mind that once the ambient temperature reaches 80 to 90 degrees, the temperature of the sidewalks can reach 135 to 145 degrees Fahrenheit which is hot enough to severely burn Jocko's paws and land them in the animal hospital. Be kind, and during the hotter weather, take Jocko for their walks early in the morning.

The Miami Jewelry District is a paved jungle with virtually no green spaces to be seen. On the other side of Biscayne Drive is Biscayne Park with acres of grass, trails to walk on, and the Bayfront Park Amphitheater. Sadly, dogs are not allowed in the park, so you will have to go a little further afield to find a place for you and Jocko to play.

If you want to find a dog park where they can play off-leash, the nearest one is Greynolds Park on Old Dixie Hwy. This 249-acre park offers plenty of space for the two of you to play in, but you must keep Jocko on their leash in this park. Alternatively, you could drive down to the Coconut Grove Dog Park. After filling your belly in one of the many Coconut Grove restaurants, you and Jocko can hang out at the dog park where there are separate sections for large and small dogs.
