The Callalisa Condominium complex sits over on the beachside peninsula of New Smyrna Beach, but rather than being on the coast itself, it sits closer to the Mosquito Lagoon Aquatic Preserve. This puts you ten minutes away from the sandy dunes and squarely in the middle of a residential area with plenty of places for you and Fido to go for your daily walks.

If you like to eat out, you will find several excellent restaurants to choose from nearby and even more back over on the mainland side. If you need dog food or pet supplies, there is a Publix grocery store on the other side of E 3rd Avenue, but if you want pet speciality stores, it's back over to the mainland side of town for you!

If you love sunshine and hot weather, then 90-degree summers filled with blue skies and endless sunshine should put a smile on your face and make taking walks more fun.

Living in the Callalisa Condo provides you with a variety of terrain to utilize when venturing out with your four-legged friend. The condo leads right out to Horton Street which is smaller, though you'll undoubtedly run into a large swathe of visitors during tourist season, meaning that shyer pups will want to refrain from venturing towards the larger thoroughfare of E 3rd Avenue.

This larger road is prone to some busier times with traffic that can move through the area fairly heavily. Some visitors may be prone to getting turned around or lost, meaning that looking out for pedestrians and pets may not be their first priority. Stick to the safer sides of the road or the nearby parking lots to avoid stepping in front of any cars accidentally.

If you crave quieter streets, venture northwards to E 2nd Avenue which will take you closer to the residential parts of the neighborhood.

Having a home in the Callalisa Condo offers you the beach which is a massive open space that runs for many miles all around the state. To get the most of out the sands when walking your pooch, you should try to take your walks during the early morning hours before the sun tries to heat things up.

Mosquito Lagoon Aquatic Preserve offers some areas to walk in, but for the most part, this area is one of waterways you can explore in a rowboat, canoe, or kayak. North of this is the Doris Leeper Spruce Creek Park where you and your pup can enjoy walking along the numerous trails running through the park.

Finally, there is Smyrna Dunes Park at the tip of the peninsula. This park offers numerous walking trails, a boardwalk, and, best of all, a dog-friendly beach where you and your canine companion can play before going for a swim.
