Lytle Townhouses sit along the north side of Lytle Avenue and the South Causeway. It's close to both US-1, the main highway running through town, and the beach. The townhouses sit in an area that is part residential and part light commercial. There are several churches in the immediate area as well as a couple of places to eat.

However, if you take the two-minute drive across the causeway, you will find yourself on East 3rd Avenue. East 3rd is home to several restaurants, bars, and a Publix grocery store, all just down the street from the waterfront.

Along with the beach, there are several other green spaces and parks for you and your dog to spend time playing in. Some, like Riverside Park, are small areas just big enough while others are vast tracts of forests with plenty of trails for you and your dog to hike along, many of which are heavily shaded.

Unfortunately, living on the causeway means dealing with traffic from the early morning hours until far into the night. There are only two ways from the mainland to the beach. This is the southern one and the busiest of the two. On the north side of the causeway, there is a protected pedestrian walkway. If you and your dog are up to the challenge, you can cross the walkway and go all the way to the dunes.

The area to the north of the townhouses is a blend of commercial, retail, and residential properties that will still be somewhat busy, but offer you a quieter place to go for walks. Better than this, however, is walking to Riverside Park and the broad swath of grass running along the bank of the Indian River North all the way up to 6th Street. This makes a safe and beautiful place to take your walks together on a warm summer morning.

The nearest green space is Riverside Park where you and your dog will find plenty of grass to romp around on, access to the river, and the start of the path leading along the riverbank. Along the way, you will come across the mysterious Old Fort Park. This park contains the ruins of an old fort, the history of which has long since been lost.

To the north is the Doris Leeper Spruce Creek Preserve, offering you and your dog more than 1,600 acres of forests, scrubs, and swamps filled with trails for you and your four-legged friend to enjoy. The trails will take you all the way to Rose Bay and back if you're up for the challenge.

Finally, let's talk about the beach which runs uninterrupted from the Ponce Inlet south to Port Canaveral. The beach offers you soft sand to exercise in and wet sand for relaxing walks while you search for seashells and enjoy the fresh air together.
