Marina Bay Townhomes sit on the North Causeway Island in the middle of the Indian River North on the southern side of the island. The townhomes sit right next to the New Smyrna Marina. Living here puts you in the unique position of being able to reach both the mainland and the peninsula in only five minutes!

No matter which direction you drive, you have access to a selection of excellent restaurants, grocery stores, and pet supply stores. However, if you go east, your journey over the North Causeway will take you to historic Flagler Avenue. Here, you will find a fabulous selection of unique stores and boutiques, pubs, and restaurants. The road will also take you right to the beach for those daily walks in the sand. There is a small park on the island and plenty of green spaces nearby where you can take your pup for walks and boat rides!

The North Causeway is a bustling thoroughfare leading from the mainland to the beach. The island is also home to the Marine Discovery Center. But if you take your walks along the pathways that have been built into the island and the sidewalks in the residential community to the east, you and your dog should be relatively safe. Something worth noting is that not all the residential streets have sidewalks, so due care is needed.

The island is flat, but since it is a man-modified island, you wouldn't expect anything less. This makes for walks that are far less than challenging, but you can always walk over the bridge to the beach. This is another excellent place for you take your pup for walks as it offers varying terrain to enjoy. Be aware that the beach is open to vehicular traffic, meaning that you'll need to pay attention to your surroundings at all times.

The only park on the island is Buena Vista Park on the eastern end. This small park offers a small area of grass, a walking path, and shady places to sit and watch the boats go by.

If you like the beach, you are going to love living here. Between the soft, dry sand that makes you and your dog struggle for every step, the wet sand that is much easier, and the waves themselves, you won't find a better open space anywhere.

If you prefer forests to the sand, the Doris Leeper Spruce Creek Preserve offers you and your dog over 1,600 acres of forests, swamps, and trails to explore. The trails take you to the 15-foot high observation tower that looks out over the swamps. From here, you can follow the trails all the way to Rose Bay. It's only three miles, but the scenery along the way is well worth it.
