The residential community of Cambridge fills the southwest corner or Taylor and Spruce Creek Road. The modest houses sit on a series of loops, cul-de-sacs, and diagonal streets which goes a long way towards keeping speeding cars to a minimum. It also makes it a lot safer for the two of you to go walking around the neighborhood and having sidewalks doesn't hurt either!

Shopping is only a five-minute drive to the west on Taylor Road where it intersects with Dunlawton Avenue. At this intersection, you can hop on I-95 for all points north and south or turn right and cruise through the central shopping district in town. Here, you will find several big box retailers, grocery stores, pet supply stores, and many of the town's best restaurants.

You are close to the Seemore Memorial Dog Park and the beach. If you don't mind a short drive, the Tiger Bay Wildlife Management Area is less than thirty minutes to the west on US-92!

Cambridge is a family-friendly residential area and, as such, you can expect a significant amount of traffic during the rush hours. Luckily, the streets have sidewalks with grass berms for the two of you to use and there are plenty of shade trees to help keep you cooled down during those hot summer days.

This area is covered in flat terrain, making it ideal for pups of all mobility levels. However, if yours is more on the athletic side, you may need to venture out of the neighborhood for something a little more varied. Some of the local parks and greenways may provide you with better opportunities to run and jog with your four-legged friend.

The streets in this area are easy to navigate, so you shouldn't have too much of an issue getting from point A to point B! Avoid Spruce Creek Road if you want to stay away from the busier roads in town.

There are a couple of grassy areas in the community where you and your dog can play, but they offer only limited space. However, a little to the south on Spruce Creek Road is the Seemore Memorial Dog Park. The dog park covers one-acre and is divided into three areas, each of which has water for the dogs and benches in the shade. The park even has an area for pups with special needs!

If walking in the woods is more your style, you can consider taking US-92 out to the Tiger Bay Wildlife Management Area. This area covers over 30,000 acres of wetlands, meadows, and forests. After some destruction in its past, the Wildlife Management Area has regrown into a fantastic place to go for hikes with your dog! You never know what you might see in this wonderful natural space. There could be tons of wildlife and species of birds to spy along the way!
