Murray Greene East is home to the Daytona Heart Group and a small townhome community. The entire area sits on the east side of Dunlawton Avenue, one of the busiest roads in town. This highway runs from the beach at its eastern end all the way through town to where it meets the I-95 interchange.

There is far more about Dunlawton Avenue than the fact it is the main east-west highway through town. It is the heart of shopping in this area as well. From big name stores like Walmart, Publix, and Big Lots, to locally-owned hair and nail salons and pet supply stores, you can find them all up and down this vital section of street.

There are several green spaces you can take your dog to within a ten-minute drive of your home. This includes the town's only off-leash dog park, the beach, and several small community parks, all of which make an excellent place to take your dog for a little playtime.

As you can imagine, Dunlawton Avenue is a bustling highway that stays busy from very early in the morning until late into the night, with the heaviest traffic being during rush hours. But in the community behind this area, you will find that once the rush hour traffic and the school buses have passed, the sidewalks make a safe place for the two of you to go for your daily walks. There are plenty of shade trees to help keep the sun at bay and sidewalks running through the entire neighborhood.

Although you won't find many kids walking on the path running alongside Dunlawton Avenue, you are likely to come across a lot of them in the neighborhood behind Murray Greene East. The best way to deal with them is to walk on the other side of the street if you can and be sure you keep your dog on a short leash to always keep them under control.

There is a small lake to hike around with a boardwalk and pavilion out over the water. There are plenty of trails through the woods where you and your dog can log in some walking miles out in the fresh air and sunshine.

Continue south on Spruce Creek Road, and you are sure to end up at the Seemore Memorial Dog Park. This is a one-acre dog park is broken up into three fenced-in areas, including one for special needs pups. Pick a space and settle back on a nearby bench while your pooch runs and plays!
