The community of Silver Creek sits along Silver Creek Run, a curved road sporting a total of three cul-de-sacs. While your home might be close to South Nova Road, a bustling thoroughfare, this is still a moderately peaceful community to live in. The one thing you do have to deal with is the campground to the immediate north. It can be a little noisy at times, but since it's for campers, it tends to attract a more responsible crowd.

Silver Creek is a well-kept neighborhood with plenty of trees and a small lake for you and your family to enjoy. With South Nova next door, you have direct access to stores and restaurants, but if you want bigger stores like Walmart, Publix, and other big box retailers, you only have to go as far as Dunlawton Avenue to the south. As the main east-west road through town, this is the place to go when you need just about anything.

Silver Creek is a "pocket" community in that there is only one road in or out. The only traffic you are likely to run into residential, going to and from work. However, this is a family neighborhood with children of all ages. This means you are likely to see them out at play all through the day. While there are sidewalks for you to walk your dog along and grass berms, you are not likely to be the only ones using them.

The best way to protect everyone is to keep your dog on a short leash when going for walks in the neighborhood. No matter how well behaved your pup is and how used to kids they are, too many kids or too much noise can cause uncharacteristic behavior and a short leash is the best way to maintain control. The only thing missing from the sidewalks is anything in the form of shade to help keep the sun at bay.

There isn't much in the way of usable green space nearby, with the exception of a small area of woods around a tiny lake on the south side of Old Hammock Road. On the other side of South Nova Road is the Dunlawton Sugar Mill Gardens. This botanical garden is filled with carefully maintained plots of flora for you and your family to enjoy.

Beyond these options, you will need to drive to any of the many other green spaces in town. To the east is access to the beaches. Here, you and your pooch can hike for miles in either direction. Use the soft sand for maximum exercise value on the way out and the wet sand to cool your muscles down on the return journey. Be sure you make time for a swim in the warm waters of the Atlantic. It's not only a lot of fun, but good exercise for both of you!
