Within Vista View, the only thing you have to deal with is a cul-de-sac that will take you and your dog less than ten minutes to walk around. With only four houses, traffic is never likely to be an issue. Hensel Road, however, can be a bustling street during the morning and evening rush hours. Once these are over, there is a sidewalk on the east side of the roadway that you can use for your walks.
Unfortunately, there isn't much in the way of destinations to walk to unless you are up for some very long hikes. Going north on Hensel Road, you will eventually run into Taylor Road which you can then follow west to the shops on Dunlawton Avenue. But, for the average person and dog, this is a long walk at just over 1.5 miles each way and you will be dealing with a lot of traffic on Taylor Road.
How many greenways are there in Vista View?
There is not much nearby in the way of green spaces for you and your dog to make use of. But, if you don't mind going for a drive together, there are several places you can go where there are trails to hike and plenty of room to play.
The nearest is the Seemore Memorial Dog Park where you can let your dog have some off-leash fun. The park has separate areas for small and large dogs, each of which has a water fountain and rinsing station along with benches in the shade for you to relax on while your pup plays.
To the south is the 1,637 acres of forest and wetlands that constitute the Doris Leeper Spruce Creek Preserve. Here in this nature preserve, the two of you will find miles of trails going all the way to New Smyrna Beach. There is plenty of room for you to hike and have a good time out in the fresh air.
