Wyngate is a well established affluent neighborhood situated in the historic region of Buckhead. When its neighbor, Atlanta, began to expand due to the fast-growing railway and logistics industry, Buckhead was eventually annexed to Atlanta in 1952. Because of Buckhead’s originally autonomous past, there is still plenty of great facilities and even puppy-friendly amenities to get make use of here.

The location of Wyngate lends to its wealthy and prosperous residents as the area is hugely sought after due to its close proximity to classy bars and restaurants as well as cultural and classic art museums. During the hot summers of Georgia, many residents will spend their time outside with family and friends and, during the short mild winters, the cozy restaurants and bars begin to get buzzing and busy.

This neighborhood is the perfect balance between suburban and rural. Large brick mansions sit far back from the road with grand driveways leading up to them. Tall cedar trees line the streets and wiggly paths that wind around the neighborhood trail away from the roads. This provides some much-needed shade in the hot summers but also creates a scenic landscape in the autumn when the trees turn into gold, red, and orange. This, balanced with the beautifully well-kept lawns and flower beds combined with the concrete roads, creates a tidy yet natural appearance.

This neighborhood is fairly flat which is pretty unusual for Atlanta. This makes it the perfect walking destination if you fancy an easy stroll with your four-legged friend. Having said this, not all of the roads are lined with sidewalks, so a helpful dog walking tip is to keep your pup on the leash when having a wander around.
