Fuller Park is a two-mile stretch of a neighborhood on the south side of Chicago. As one of the city's 77 main neighborhoods, it was named after a small park in the middle of the community. There is a lot to explore as Fuller Park features several churches, restaurants and shops, and parks. There aren't any pet stores or services in Fuller Park, but you'll find the Paws & Claws pet groomer and Bark N' Bites, a pet supply store selling high-quality foods and toys, just a ten-minute walk north to West 35th Street.

Being able to walk your dog in Chicago varies depending on the weather. The spring is warm and sometimes rainy while fall is cool and mild. The winter brings a lot of snow and ice depending on the month and summers can be hot and humid. It's best to check the weather before heading out with your pup.

You'll encounter many trees and greenery during your walk in Fuller Park. Most of the sidewalks have grassy barriers between them and roads. The entire neighborhood is mainly flat with a possible small incline here and there, so you should have no issues traversing the streets. Fuller Park is only a half-mile wide and two miles long, so you'll find it easy to see the entire community in just one easy walk with your pup.

While many of the residential roads are quiet, Fuller Park does have some busy roads that you should be aware of when out with your dog. On any busy road, it's best to watch your pooch and take caution when crossing the street. The I-94 and I-90 expressways cut through the entirety of Fuller Park. To avoid being near the expressways, stay on the west side of the neighborhood and remember to observe all road signs and traffic lights.

There are three small parks you'll find in Fuller Park, all placed along the western border of the community. The most widely known is Fuller Park, the green space for which the neighborhood was aptly named. There are a lot of different activities offered at Fuller Park and you and your dog can enjoy grassy areas, shaded benches, and even a pretty water fountain.

North of Fuller Park is the Eden Place Nature Center, the former site of an illegal dumping area. The area is now a community space featuring different activities such as gardening, farmers markets, and a pumpkin patch festival in the fall. Anyone can enjoy the center during operating hours all year round.

Another small park in the southwest corner of the neighborhood is Malus Park, a small green area with a playground and several benches, providing the perfect stop for a rest. Remember to observe leash laws in these playgrounds.
