Being able to walk your dog in Chicago varies depending on the weather. The spring is warm and sometimes rainy while fall is cool and mild. The winter brings a lot of snow and ice depending on the month and summers can be hot and humid. It's best to check the weather before heading out with your pup.
While many of the residential roads are quiet, Fuller Park does have some busy roads that you should be aware of when out with your dog. On any busy road, it's best to watch your pooch and take caution when crossing the street. The I-94 and I-90 expressways cut through the entirety of Fuller Park. To avoid being near the expressways, stay on the west side of the neighborhood and remember to observe all road signs and traffic lights.
North of Fuller Park is the Eden Place Nature Center, the former site of an illegal dumping area. The area is now a community space featuring different activities such as gardening, farmers markets, and a pumpkin patch festival in the fall. Anyone can enjoy the center during operating hours all year round.
Another small park in the southwest corner of the neighborhood is Malus Park, a small green area with a playground and several benches, providing the perfect stop for a rest. Remember to observe leash laws in these playgrounds.
